Monitoring
SETEC operates a UL listed Central Station located in Northern Virginia. The Central Station provides regulated monitoring services for facilities located throughout Virginia and the greater Washington DC and Baltimore metropolitan areas. The facility is staffed continuously by trained professionals ready to alert authorities in case of an emergency. The Central Station is equipped with an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Natural Gas capable of supporting the power needs of the facility. In addition to specialized construction, the Central Station’s communication and utility infrastructures are hardened against attack and failure. Hot redundant computer hardware and mirrored databases allow for quick transition to backup systems if required. SETEC’s network-ready alarm receivers operate over an encrypted supervised internet connection for monitoring intrusion, life safety and fire alarm systems.

UUFX Protective Signaling Services Central Station - Commercial buildings often require UL monitoring of the fire alarm system before occupancy permits will be approved by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). SETEC is well known among local AHJ’s for providing this service.

SCIF’s
SETEC is uniquely qualified to design, install, service and monitor intrusion detection systems for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with UL 2050 and ICD 705 specifications.
